Avery is an interdisciplinary artist based in Whitehorse, Yukon. Over the last decade she has crafted brands, websites, illustrations and art pieces for various organizations, agencies, startups and individuals across the continent. Her creative practice weaves illustration, ecological interpretation, and visual storytelling to explore relationships between humans, wildlife, and place. Her work grows out of curious experimentation and a tendency to fall down research rabbit holes, shaped by half-formed questions and happy accidents. She frequently collaborates with local organizations, creating projects that bridge science, art, and community.

Alongside her freelance practice, Avery works as a Wildlife Interpreter at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve, where daily encounters with animals often find their way into her scribbled notebooks and publications.
